(2012)The Greater Portsmouth Chamber is a member-based organization structured for the purpose of advancing the economic, industrial, professional, cultural, and civic welfare of the Greater Portsmouth area. The Chamber is comprised of roughly 1,000 members, ranging from non-profits to small businesses and corporate headquarters. Membership spans geographically from the Seacoast of New Hampshire, to Southern Maine, to the North Shore of Massachusetts. The Chamber hosts monthly business networking events, and coordinates various committee activities, including Government Affairs, Business Development, the eCoast Technology Roundtable, and Tourism. The Chamber operates a year-round visitor information center at 500 Market Street in Portsmouth.
